From IMX8MPRM, Rev. 1, 06/2021:
The Dewarp Engine cannot be used as a standalone module.
1. Is this a hardware limitation (shared clock control etc)?
2. Is this a software limitation because the userspace stack (isp-imx) does not support this usecase?
2. Would it be possitble to use the isi_0 or isp_0 to do the format conversion from RAW8 GRAYSCALE into a format compatible with the dwe?

From iMX8MP_CAMERA_DISPLAY_GUIDE.pdf Figure 17 (see below). it appears that dewarp output is a separate output from ISP and one should be able to access it in parallel to accessing ISP output on /dev/video0 device node.
Is this understanding correct? If yes, how can I access Dewarp output? I have activated Dewarp but I only see /dev/video0 device node.
Any usage example of Dewarp will be welcome.
