IMX6 Quad : VPU Capability

Hi all 

We need  clarification for IMX6 Quad capability for H264 encoding/decoding. Our requirement is to encode and decode 1080p30 video at the same time (2 way video call). Is IMX6 Quad enough for this ? Currently we are using IMX6 Dualite which can only encode or decode 1080p30(not at same time).

Hello,

  That is extreme load - two (encode + decode) streams of 1080p@30

for i.MX6 VPU -  not supported.

Hi Yuri,

Thank you for the quick response. If we could reduce the use-case  to 1080p30 encoding and 720p decoding at the same time, can this be possible . Also forgot to mention we have Full HD display in Dual LVDS and one down-scaling of 1080p30 stream to VGA.
