IMX53 SMD SABRE WITH ICS

Dear all,

Have  anybody ported the ICS for SABRE Tablet.? I Could find the  ICS   for IMX53 QSB from LINARO ,

Will Demo images for IMXQSB work for IMX53 SABRE.?

How to customise for SABRE design.?

I would say no.

You need a different bootloader for QSB and SABRE. But you can reuse uImage and rootfs.

In order to use the same uramdisk you need to make sure it has the same SDCard configuration (for example, SABRE would take rootfs from SD1, and QSB would take from SD0, I do not remember it there is a difference, so, double check it)

So= you may reuse some itens from a demo image, but a pure demo image will not fit other board

But for the Gingerbread and ICS has two different kernels,The Linaro have the ICS demo images for LOCO Board ,

I would like to have ICS in SABRE board(MX53 SMD board) what are the things I need to consider ?

Unfortunately  Freescale does not have a demo image with ICS for the tablet.

Freescale doesn't provide ICS support for i.MX53.

There are Freescale Android releases upto Gingerbread. A community called Linaro is providing ICS support for i.MX53.
