I need to interface to a i.MX35x processor from a 2.5 volt device.

The i.MX35x I/O Supply voltage is @ 1.8 Volt.

What is the tolerance on the i.MX35x I/O's? e.g. can I directly drive the I/O with 2.5 volt?

Thanks

An I/O supplied with 1.8 V cannot be overdriven at 2.5 V. The i.MX35 is similar to other i.MX devices and should not be overdriven > 0.3 V above the associated I/O supply rail. A change ticket will be submitted to correct the data sheet.

According to the Datasheet Table 7

http://cache.freescale.com/files/dsp/doc/data_sheet/MCIMX35SR2CEC.pdf?pspll=1

Supply voltage (I/O) NVCCmax   –0.5  to 3.6 V
