I.MX53 getting started

Hello,

  I got i.MX53 starter kit from Freescale. I want to play with it and understand the controller. But this is the first time I will be working with ARM controller. So can you guys help me out and tell me how do I start...Which IDE should I use to program? There is ubuntu on SD card, how is this helpful? All these days I used to program other microcontrollers, so my knowledge is very limited....like install the IDE, connect the microcontroller to the PC through JTAG and start programming. How to work with this? how do i develop an application with i.MX53?

Any help, links to tutorials will be helpful.

I am not sure if there is a single document with all the info you need. For MX6, this is a great introduction
