I.MX 6/8 access frame buffer / LCDIF / LVDS from co-processor

Hey,

I would like to know, whether it is possible to access the frame frame buffer / LCDIF / LVDS from the co-processor of an I.MX 6 (M4) or I.MX 8 (M4F). Especially interesting is, whether I can override the frame created by the main processor?

Any reference to documents which include this kind of information would be really appreciated.

Hi Daniel

one can look at M4 lcd/framebuffer examples included in i.MX6UL SDK

Seems as starting point for using lcd buffer for both linux and M4 one can use

rpmsg driver described in Chapter 51 Remote Processor Messaging (RPMsg) attached Linux Manual.
