To connect your i.MX6-based board to a car over the CAN bus using OBD-II car protocol, you first have to connect your i.MX6 board's CAN bus to the CAN bus of the car's OBD-II connector:

Then, you have to study the OBD-II protocol:

And then you have to start entering PIDs from the processor and receiving parameters from the car's ECU and other systems.
