How to get usb mass storage connected/disconnected notification

Hi,

On our device, When we plug/unplug the usb mass storage, we are not getting any notification stating "usb mass storage connected/disconnected".

Although the usb mass storage gets auto-mounted, when we connect pen drive;

& able to browse the content of pen drive.

Could somebody help me to understand how to get the "usb mass storage connected/disconnected" notification?

Please google what is netlink in driver and how it gets work with udev and mdev, which you mentioned auto mount.

That is part of linux program.
