How to do Video streaming through IPCamera?

I am working with wandbaord-quad.I have built the image using Yocto frame workusing dizzy branch.The image got built successfully, and i was able to run the image on the target.

Now I want to connect an IP camera(connected to the Ethernet port) to the Wandboard-quad and want to stream the video image.

Please let me know which video libraries i have to use? Are there any API's available where i can open the and read ? .I am new to video streaming.
