Hi Community team,

BACKGROUND: customer(HYUNDAI MOBIS) reported display issue on their module.

I found there is issue on weston service init during bootup, and this issue is Linux OS version dependency. When failure occurred, there is no display, but when log into system and use command 'systemctl restart weston' to reset weston service, the display is ok then.

Please check below table for more details.

I am wondering if there is any timing issue for different drivers versions which can lead this problem, please kindly suggest.

If we can confirm there is a kind of workaround in SW to fix this issue(rather than a silicon defect), then we can give customer some advise to optimize their SW accordingly.

Contact me freely if any details needed, thanks in advance!

Hi Joan,

No more tests is needed to reproduce the failure. After system bootup, dumped weston service log(see attached), please kindly comment on that.

Based on our debug history, many issue customer reported can be fixed by higher OS version since we upgrade or optimize lots of settings in latest OS version. This is what I am trying to do to handle this case with your help, and I don't think you can reproduce this issue at your end.

Feel free to share your comments.
