When HDMI video output is used, Android always displays in landscape mode. How can I get it to show up in portrait mode instead? Is there somewhere in the kernel source I can modify to accomplish this? Or perhaps a setting that needs to be changed?

Thanks.

Okay, so it does appear to work when both lvds and hmdi are specified. I was using hdmi only, and the setting had no effect.

The problem now is that even though it is portrait, it is not using the full size of the display. It has been shrunk down and centered on the hdmi display. Basically it's black on the top and bottom, with a small display frame in the middle. The lvds display is in still landscape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

I tried that, but it doesn't appear to have any effect.
