Enabling MIPI DSI interface on freescale Yocto build

What are the steps to enable and configure MIPI DSI on freescale's yocto platform? I'm using a Variscite iMX.6 board and have been developing with the LVDS interface. Connecting a TFT to the MIPI DSI is giving me nothing, and I'm struggling to find documentation for;

- Is the MIPI DSI enabled in the kernel? Is there a driver?

- If so... What config files do I create or enable, to configure the interface?
