Does i.MX6 MIPI-CSI I/F support multiple data types in a frame with virtual channel function ?

Hi

We have a customized camera which would send multiple data types within a frame on each virtual channel. We are studying for a product which can support this input. In i.MX6DP/QP's reference manual, it needs to set one data type to each CSI unit (such as CSI0_MIPI_DI3/CSI0_MIPI_DI2/CSI0_MIPI_DI1/CSI0_MIPI_DI0). Does this means CSI0 in IPU1, for example, can only receive one data type in a frame?

Thank you.

Hi Igor,

Sorry, I don't get how can I stored all the data with different types into the memory if only one data type can be received by a CSI module in the IPU at a time.

Could you please give me more instructions?

Thank you very much.

yes this is correct, in general frame with different types can be stored in memory then parsed in software.

Best regards
igor
