Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused about the MAC address in the imx28. I saw that a user can write it's own address by changing the HW_OCOTP_CUSTx register. I also know where this is changed in the code.

But, what about a fresh new device, is it supposed to come with it's own "freescale" MAC address? If I want to develop a product that use it, do I have to buy a MAC pool or I can use the freescale one?

Regards,

Jerome

Hello Jerome,

No they do not come with a MAC address, you need to buy it separately:

Have a great day,
