Dear Sir, I have referred the iMX6-Rex-Module-Schematic and IMX6DQ6SDLHDG for designing The reference module schematic is for duallite uC part but we are using the solo uC part. So we want your suggestion on the capacitor used in design. Will be there any difference in schematic for dual lite and Solo. Kindly let us know your feedback on this. We are in process of Optimizing our design in terms of using Decap Capacitors/Cost . So we have following questions : Could we use decap Capacitors 0.1uF instead of 0.22uF .As both the values are recommended in IMX6DQ6SDLHDG. Just want to confirm what to be used Could you please suggest is there a possibility to remove some decap capacitors across different voltage level as shown in Page 11 (iMX6-Rex-Module-Schematic), Also we have followed similar approach but exploring possibility of removing capacitors which may not impact performance. Is it necessary to use 22 uF Capacitors as mentioned in iMX6-Rex-Module-Schematic, Since we are Optimizing our Design Could you suggest minimum no of 22 uF Caps to be used ,Could we remove them , Will it have impact on performance ? Is it necessary to use 10 uF Capacitors as marked above, Since we are Optimizing our Design Could you suggest minimum no of 10 uF Caps to be used ,Could we remove them , Will it have impact on performance ? Thanks, Arun

Hi Arun

for i.MX6S/DL one can follow spf-27392 schematic on below link (sorry NXP does not support Rex board):

Changing capacitors does not change performance, but may affect stability due to higher ripples.

Ripples should not exceed 5% as recommended in IMX6DQ6SDLHDG, so you can change capacitors

and measure ripples on own board (recommended to run some application which produces much noise, like

graphics).

Best regards
igor
