Custom Animated Splash screen in iMX8MQ

Hi,

I am using iMX8MQ and built the bsp for the same using yocto.

Now I want to add custom animated splash screen (to replace the penguin splash screen that is already displaying) for this, please give me step by step guidance to achieve custom animated splash screen.

I found out "plymoth" will help with, but there is no proper procedure available in the internet.

Hello Ashok,

NXP don´t have a guidance to show you how splash screen work in i.MX8 but you can see from this link how to do it:

But solution that I am looking for one with animated splash screen, but link that you have provided is for image based splash screen.
