I'm trying to perform the DDR validation in the Config Tools for i.MX (version 9)
I connected our product (i.MX8 Nano core Dual lite) with USB and UART to my PC.
When I try to run one of the test in the validation view (Firmware Init, Operational, Stress Test or Diags) those tests fail.
When I look in the debug log I see the message “comm.serial_channel Channel is not alive"
I looks like that the binary image I loaded into the processor via USB (see screenshot attached)
When I use the same setup in the mscale_ddr_tool _v3.20 tool everything is working fine (calibration and memory test are pass)
My suspicion is that is has something to do with the UART of the iMX8 processor (We use UART4 for debug interface)
Hello,
You are right, since it is not possible to connect it to the tool, please only verify that the UART you are working with is the debug UART of the board.
Hope it helps!
BR,
Ivan.
