Chip Select Values for Spansion NOR Flash

I am trying to configure the chip select registers to interface an IMX27 to a Spansion nor flash - S29WS256P - and am failing dismally !

Has anyone got any experience doing this and can provide any help ?

Hello Kate,

Please launch the URL attached driectly below, as it will detail

the "Interfacing i.MX3x to S29GL" application note.

Although the app note is written for the S29GL (3.0V FLASH) and i.MX3x,

the interface of the control signals are identical to that of the S29WS-P

(1.8V FLASH), it may provide some additional information.

As first approximation, please use default WEIM settings for i.MX27

CS0 channel. They intended for NOR boot and are quite robust.
