Boot linux-imx 4.9.88 on phyflex-imx6-4

Hi,

I would like to boot the linux-imx kernel (for sabreauto for example) from freescale on the phyflex-imx6-4 board along with imx6q-phyflex-pbab01.dts devicetree.

Do you know if this is possible/easy ? Because this is not as straight forward as changing the device tree the kernel is using to boot.

I don't know in details the diffrence between linux-imx and linux-mainline ? Is there any documentation about it ?

This is because I want to use vpu encoders etc.

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

Quentin.

Hi Quentin

for phyflex-imx6-4 board software one can look at its vendor support portal

phyFLEX-i.MX 6 - Develop.phytec - PHYTEC Wiki

As this is different board than NXP reference boards (SD, SabreAI)

seems it will not be easy to run NXP software on that board.

One can look on NXP Linux  Documentation, Porting Guide to get additional help:
https://www.nxp.com/support/developer-resources/run-time-software/i.mx-developer-resources/i.mx-6ser...

Best regards
igor
