Audio recording

I am using IMXRT1064 Evaluation board for audio recording task. But the problem is i want record audio in mp3 format, but actual record is happening in wav format. Can anyone tell me, How to record audio in mp3 format?

I'm afraid we do not have MP3 components due to source code licensing issues between NXP and the available open MP3 sources. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for reply, Is there any other way to convert wav format to mp3 format. like any code etc.
