Android charging battery drivers

Hi everyone, 

We are starting a new design based on the i.MX8 Mini processor which will be a portable device powered by a Li-On 3.7v battery pack. This device will run Android 9 OS. The battery will be charged through a USB 2.0 Type-C interface and we need to solve the USB PD, charging battery, and fuel gauge battery.

Is there any IC(s) to solves those issues compatible with the OS or whose drivers are available? (we would like to avoid developing the drivers)

Hello Gonzalo,

    Our i.MX8MM-EVK doesn't support Charger IC, BUT On our I.MX6DL-SabreSD board, charger IC MAX8903C is supported, so you can refer to it's schematic and charger driver in android.

Attachment is it's schematic.

    Or your can also select  charger ICs from other providers, basically, they also provide you corresponding drivers.
