Alexa SDK support for NXP i.MX BSP (kernel version 5.15.*)

Dear Team

My customer needs to have a working AVS SDK on top i.MX8mini (iMX8MMINI), I have found the following meta layer that could suit: 

https://github.com/nxp-imx-support/meta-avs-demos 

But this repository was last updated about 5 years ago and based it's on the old kernel version (4.9).

Can you please guide us on how I can port this meta layer into a newer kernel such as version 5.15.5 or 5.15.52?
