I have been told on the meta-freescale mailinglist, that accelerated, dual-display X11 is not currently possible on the imx6 platform (i.e. using DRI on two displays).
Can someone from freescale confirm this?
I have not found this information in the 'i. MX 6 Graphics User's Guide' or the 'i.MX 6 Linux Reference Manual'.
If I have overlooked it I would appreciate a pointer.
If it is the case, are there plans to implement this?
As I have seen it working with wayland it seems to be technically possible.
Hello all
I have the same problem.
I use yocto 3.14.52 BSP with X11.
I have two screens that I have connected to my device.
One through LVDS and one through HDMI.
And I like to run two QT applications on the two screens.
Is it doable?
If not ? Can I modify the driver to support this configuration?
Freescale won't support X11 acceleration for i.MX6x.
Instead, it has support for DirectFB acceleration.
Only i.MX5x has X11 accelerated by hardware (GPU).
Have a great day,
Victor

Maybe I asked the wrong question.
I'm not talking about 2d acceleration.
Is it or will it be possible to use glx/egl using DRI on two displays on the i.MX6 platform (concrete i.MX6solo using GC 880 and i.MX6quad using GC 2000)?
