Dear all,

Our customer wants to connect FPGA which has a 256MByte spatial area to one CS of EIM.

According to the reference manual, the following contents are listed.

IMX6DQRM.pdf (Rev2):
22.1.1 Features(P.1007)
"26-bit external address bus, max memory size can be 128 MByte (1 Gigabit)."

However, according to the datasheet, there is 32bit mode.

IMX6DQIEC.pdf (Rev3):
Table 35. EIM Internal Module Multiplexing (P.48)

In this case I think that 256MByte is supported.
2^26 *4 byte =256MByte

Can FPGA of 256MByte spatial area be connected to one CS?

May I have advice?

Best Regards,
Yuuki

Hi yuuki

answer no, since total address space size is 128 MByte

according to description of ADDRSxx in IOMUXC_GPR1 register.

IMX6DQRM i.MX 6Dual/6Quad Applications Processor Reference Manual.

It also shows memory size allocation per cs.

Best regards
