AES Keys Encryption Support: When do you use the Unique Key, and When do you Use the Crypto Key?

Looking at this NXP kernel change:

The author adds a feature to use the Unique Key and the Crypto key.

From documentation I have read, the Unique key is only 64 bytes, and the Crypto key is 128 bytes.

I am using the i.MX6ULL which the author of this change mentions in his testing.

Which applications should use the Unique Key, and which applications should use the Crypto key?
