Hi,
I'm trying to build my own kernel to use with 8MMINILPD4-EVK, but the board doesn't boot.
Steps I'm using:
Set the board to download mode and flash L4.14.98_2.0.0_ga_images_MX8MMEVK.zip
$ sudo ./uuu L4.14.98_2.0.0_ga_images_MX8MMEVK.zip
Build Kernel:
$ git clone https://source.codeaurora.org/external/imx/linux-imx
$ cd linux-imx
$ git checkout origin/imx_4.14.98_2.3.0 -b imx_4.14.98_2.3.0
$ export ARCH=arm64
$ export CROSS_COMPILE=aarch64-linux-gnu-
$ export PATH=/media/workspace/.bin/gcc-linaro-7.5.0-2019.12-x86_64_aarch64-linux-gnu/bin/:$PATH
$ make defconfig
$ make -j25 Image dtbs modules
$ make modules_install INSTALL_MOD_PATH=./modules
$ rm -rf ./modules/lib/modules/4.14.98-06659-g0347fe7527d06-dirty/build
$ rm -rf ./modules/lib/modules/4.14.98-06659-g0347fe7527d06-dirty/source
$ scp arch/arm64/boot/Image root@192.168.86.250:/run/media/mmcblk2p1/
$ scp arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/fsl-imx8mm-evk.dtb root@192.168.86.250:/run/media/mmcblk2p1/
$ scp -r ./modules/lib/modules/4.14.98-06659-g0347fe7527d06-dirty root@192.168.86.250:/lib/modules/
It a clean kernel, no changes made.

Maybe try to use corresponding u-boot version.
Hello,
It may have some issues with this kernel release, since this release provides no statement of support or validation for anything except the target for this release.
If possible please try with L4.14.98-2.0.0 and check if the problem persist.
Thank you,
Best regards,
Aldo.
