4K Image display on mx8m linux and/or Android imageview/webview?

Hi,

is it possible to render full resolution graphics like images or HTML/Webview to the display in either Linux or Android?

Video is clear, but this feature would really divide it from all of these low-cost Android 4k boxes, that can decode and display videos in 4k60p10bit etc, but all fail to render 4k graphics.

Thank you,

Alex

IMX8M should support this, but refer to the user guide, if customer has any issues about this, NXP does not support or test the patches from the community.

Hi Joanxie,

thank you for answering.

I mean to display a jpg/png/bmp with 3840x2160 pixel resolution on a 4k display. On those other boxes, 4k images can only be displayed in max. 1920x1080 because framebuffer is limited to this size. The same happens with HTML browsers. The content is always only fullHD.

Can we display a graphic like a jpeg in full 3840x2160 on Android and/or Yocto on the mx8m?

Alex
