Question about Gstreamer playback count on i.MX8 Quad Max

I am using i.MX8 Quad Max model.
I want to play rtsp streaming from multiple cameras using Gstreamer on this model.
From my test results, if I add cameras one by one with 640x480 resolution, I can only play up to 8 cameras.
For i.MX8M Plus, I can play up to 20 cameras in the same test.
I would like to ask if there is a limit to the number of cameras that can be played in 640x480 resolution on i.MX8 Quad Max.

Hello,

The limit of cameras using the resolution 640 x 480 depend of your RAM but if you are using the EVK should be 8 cameras on MX8QM, however yes for MX8Mplus you have limit of 24 cameras, this is for the special modules like SCI and the ISP in the MX8Mplus.

I would like to ask you again to confirm whether I have understood your reply correctly.
Does the MX8QM require 8 connections mean that the MX8QM model supports up to 8 channels and does not support more than that?
If so, is the limit on the number of supported channels for the MX8QM model due to the VPU chip? Or is there another factor that limits the channels?
