connect PX533 using libnfc in python

I have ordered a DL533N reader based on the NXP PR533 chip.

I have installed all required libraries. I try to find the NFC reader on my raspberry Pi 400. No luck...

I keep getting a "No NFC device found" on nfc-list.
Using pn53x-tamashell I get "pn53x-tamashell: ERROR: Unable to open NFC device."

I don't know where to start honestly. Have been googling, chat gpting and the likes.

Re-reading your remark, I was wondering whether there was another method to connect using Python on raspberry Pi? Libnfc was the option I believed to use, but if there are other options that you can provide this is also good. I need it to connect and to read data from the card. Thanks.

Hello sir,

Unfortunately, we don't have any tool for Linux or based in Python that I can recommend. Although, you can use a PCSC tool that may suit your needs. Since the PR553 is a USB solution, the NXP IC should be able to interface through these commands.

Hello sir,

My recommendation is that please contact Digital Logic for further information since, PR533 is a USB-integrated solution but, the direct support for LibNFC inst directly supported by us. Is possible that the version of LibNFC you are using, requires some adjustments to the shell script provided by d-logic.

In case you are interested in testing the PR533, we do provide a product support package but, it requires you to sign an NDA with NXP for access to downloading it.

Still, I can't assure you that our provided software will fully work with the DL533N directly since, I'm not fully sure how it is built.
