Hello!
We've built our own Qi charger on top of Renesas P9235 wireless charge transmitter (WCT). This WCT is capable of charging our custom, Renesas P9222 wireless charge receiver (WCR) based device. Beyond the 5W charge support, we're also capable of sending/receiving proprietary packets in both directions (with a strong limitation on packet size).
We've also got NXP WCT (WCT-15W) and WCR (WPR1500) devices to experiment with charging and proprietary packet transmission in any direction. As momentarily we are capable of modifying the FW of WCR only, can't determine whether these two NXP ICs can establish a functional prop. packet transmission between each other.
Our goal is to be able to recv/send prop. packets between:
- NXP WCT and NXP WCR;
- Renesas WCT (P9235) and NXP WCR (WPR9516);
- NXP WCT (WCT-15W) and Reneases WCR (P9222);
All of our attemps have failed until this time and there are indications we'll have to struggle with this a lot.
Want to ask you whether you have any experience, hint, technique, document etc which would promote us being able to implement NXP - Renesas Qi proprietary packet exchange? Is it feasible at all in this configuration? The 5W charge is working and most probably we won't need more than that.
thanks, regards,
