HI Team,

In one of our design  we are using PN5190 chip, as per data sheet it is mentioned that this chip can consume max 2.3W with including internal SW from 3.3V, in this case i have observed in our board the power draw by this chip is 2.6W in that the out put TX line the Power out is like 1 to 1.5W, in this case .

the dropout on chip is 1W or More in this case The thermal issues i am seeing with respective to theoretical and practical also this device is getting  more  heat. Please help us to under stand more interims of Power consummation, please share if any solution to reduce this .

Thanks & regards,

Sivaram

Hi

PN5190 DPC allows 2 options to reduce the maximum output power:

1. The target can be reduced.

2.The maximum VDDPA can be reduced.

Please refer to chapter 2 of AN13669 for more details.

Regards

Daniel
