LX2160XE72232B-SFP+ Interfacing

Hi Team, we are using LX2160XE72232B NPU in our design .We have 10G SFP+ module in our design with connector UE76-A20-3000T. Is there any inbuilt coupling effect in the LX2160 side or Do we need to use extra coupling capacitors in TX and RX path in this interface ?

Hi,

That coupling effect is not built-in.

The reference design board has 0.47 uF capacitors coupling the SFP Phy connection and they have 20% tolerance.

Hi , is it ok if we give a provision with 0 ohm resistor ?

I would recommend to stick with the capacitors that the reference design provided because I haven't met results replacing capacitors

Please help us with the prefered value ,tolerance , and placement of the  coupling capacitors that we should provide?

It would be helpful if you can provide the data  asap since we are in the critical stage of our project.
