Hello, I use JN5169 to design a product, which has been mass produced many times. This time, there are a batch of jn5169, more than 1000 of which cannot be programed (programing with jn51xxprogrammer.exe). The chip number is JN5169 SBR234 ZSD5451. They chip supplier said that this batch was befort 2015. Is there any special requirements for programming  JN5169 which before 2015?

I am looking forward to your reply, thank you.

There is more than 1000 piece of Jn5169 which number is N5169 SBR234 ZSD5451 in my hand.so I need your help urgently, thank you!

Hi @yuchenglin,

I am not sure where you bought this part number.

Could you please share the link about this JN5169? It seems that is not part of the NXP products, I need to check the marking of the device.

Regards,

Mario

Hello,

The "JN5169 SBR234 ZSD5451" seems JN5169 (chip model) with lot number "SBR234 ZSD5451". As long as I know, JN5169 does not have many variations (-001A, -001Z).

We also use thousands of JN5169 and this issue is also sensitive to us. We hope this to be identified sooner.

Thanks!

Hi @usaygo,

You are right there are not a lot of variations for the JN5169. So, the programming process should be the same,

How are you connect the module that you have? Could you please share some images of the module that you have?

If The "JN5169 SBR234 ZSD5451"  has an internal JN5169 from us, the process is the same, just please be sure that you are entering program mode.

Regards,

Mario

Hi @yuchenglin,

Where did you buy the JN5169 SBR234 ZSD5451?

If this custom module has the JN5169 from NXP should be programmed as the JN5169 that we provide.

Could you please share an image of the module? Do you have the schematic? Do you have access to the programming pins?

Regards,

Mario

Hi,

It seems to be correct, but the UART programming process is the same.

Is it possible that you could share where you bought or what is the distributor that you asked for this device?

Mario

Hi @yuchenglin,

I looked into this company that provides the JN5169 Devices. The Shenzhen meisixing Technology Co., Ltd is not authorized to provide this product.

We do not encourage you to buy from a non-authorized distributor.
If you do so then you will not have any support from NXP. Even if they are not counterfeit. We cannot guarantee something we don't know how it was handled or the origin of the parts.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

Regards,

Mario

Hello Mario,

I'm just an observer. Sorry for confusing you. So far, I don't have the same problem. (Some chips are OTP programmed to be write protected???)

Thanks!
