Hi all,

We are considering running the 88W8987 on a non-OS for future product development.
First of all, I need to download the firmware via UART, but I cannot find the command specifications for that firmware download.
Where can I get the firmware download command specifications?

Best regards,

Hi, @Christine_Li

Thank you for your reply.

We don't use Android, Linux, or RTOS.
We are trying to implement it in a way that does not use any OS.
Since the driver source is public, it is possible to infer the commands from there and implement them, but I would like to check the commands in the specifications and implement them.

Hi, @KonTetsu

Thanks for your feedback.

Sorry for my limited knowledge, as I know 88W8987 is a host reliable Wi-Fi chip.

Without OS, I could not imagine it can work well.

We also have wireless microcontroller hostless products, such as: RW612  RW610

You might be think about them.

If you insist to use 88W8987, then you might be refer to above 3 links I provided to you on different platform, then implement it by yourself.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Christine.
