8997 WiFi Crash Issue while using AP mode

Hello NXP Team, @igorpadykov 

We are using the “Murata LBEE5XV1YM” module which is based on the “NXP 88W8997” chipset.

We are facing the attached crash while using AP mode. Request you to please guide us to get rid of the same.

Setup Details:

  • Processor:  iMX6DL processor
  • Linux Kernel Version:  4.1.15 
  • Wi-Fi Chipset: NXP 99W8997
  • Wi-Fi Linux Kernel Driver Link: Kindly check this thread.
  • Initial crash logs (Below Table): Please refer the attahced logs for more details.

Hello,

 

As this ticket has been discussed internally , this is just to add the information as reference

As you might know, we have 2 kind of driver releases:

  • Specific FP68 (Feature Pack 68) releases like the one you were using
  • MGPL driver : Generic FP92 releases, which include less features, but still fit to many customer needs.

 

Could you please try compiling the driver ?
