RW610 SWD Programming Issue During Board Bring-Up

Hi Team,

We have designed a custom board using RW610.

The board has now been fabricated, and bring-up activity is currently in progress. We are using an external MCU-Link debugger for programming and debugging.

While programming the RW610 device, we are encountering the below SWD configuration error:

0 SWD devices detected. Connect a device and try again.

Please find the attached schematics for reference.

Current strap pin configuration:

CON[3:0] = 1111 Boot from QSPI
CON[11] = 0 SWD mode enabled

Additional details:

  • VREF = 3.3V
  • Pull-up on SWCLK is DNP

Additionally, we observed the same behavior while trying to flash the RW612 EVK board using an external MCU-Link debugger.

Kindly provide your inputs or suggestions on this issue and let us know if any additional configuration or recovery steps are required.

Thanks and Regards,
Arun Kumar V

Hi, @Arunembien

Can you please have a try with below recommendations?

  1. add/populate the SWCLK and SWDIO 10 kΩ pull-ups
  2. try the board with J-Link firmware on MCU-Link or a native J-Link

By the way, you mentioned, you also tried with our EVK, still have issue.

Do you mean our FRDM-RW612? Or our RW612-RD board?

Best regards,

Christine.
