Hi Community,

from time to time I get an error regarding restricted access to content when browsing through the community. When trying to find specific information this is quite annoying.

OK, I see there may be content that is not intended for everyone, but why are there links from public pages to these topics? And how is that compatible with the idea of a "community"?

e.g. https://community.freescale.com/docs/DOC-93631 and https://community.freescale.com/docs/DOC-94809 are linked from the i.MX6 Community main page in the Tips&Tricks section. Clicking on them leads me to a page where I am told (in german) that I have no permission and I should ask "my administrator".

In my opinion creating links from public content to restricted content shouldn't be possible at all.

Bye,

Martin

Hi Martin, thanks for your feedback. I totally agree with you, we should not be linking from public community resources to hidden material.

Deactivated user, do you know why are these documents hidden? Could we move them to a public space?

Hi Denisse,

Those two documents were removed from the public community as either no longer being relevant or correct. I’ve updated our doc list on the i.MX Community overview page to remove those two links.

Thanks for reporting this.

Regards,

Grant
