We are seeing some random issues with system generated emails. We are looking into it. This is the first issue we have seen about following a community not sending out notifications. Any additional information you can provide will be helpful. When did you stop receiving them?
Try this. I think this might be your problem. In the top right corner there is an arrow by your name, click on it and you will get a drop down menu. Select "Preferences". On the General Preferences tab look at the 5th or 6th item, "People, Places and Content I am Following." Make sure this value is set to Daily or Weekly.
The system default use to be weekly and we had to temporarily set it to Never. If you are picking up the default value, this is likely the issue. By next week we should have the default set back to weekly.

We had an issue with some migrated accounts getting emails that were unwanted and the user was not able to shut them off. We had to change the default setting to never until the issue was resolved. We got the changes in place this week and the default setting will go back to weekly updates.
