Are the Freescale Cup 2015 kit specifications and rules available?

Specifically I am interested in what microcontroller is to be allowed/used in the freescale kit.

Hello Joshua,

We will launch the competition in December 2014, the registration period will be from January until March, and the qualifications will take place during April and May. We will have the final competition in June 2015.

For the competition you can use any 32-Bit Microcontroller from Freescale.

For the US schedule of the Freescale Cup, please interact directly with DamarisOchoa and she will be able to help you for the schedule in the US. For the MCUs, I confirm that we are continuing to work with the current default kit which includes the Kinetis KL25Z on the FRDM-KL25Z board. Thank you for the reply earlier Flavio. I noticed the EMEA rules for 2015 have been out for a while now. Do you know if there is any sort of timeline for the USA Freescale competition rules and registration guidelines and when they might be out?

Hi Joshua, the 2015 rules for the Freescale Cup are not yet released as we are not done with the 2014 season. I can however confirm that we will continue to ask for students to use Freescale's 32-bit MCU product families like MPC5606B and Kinetis products. I hope this helps in the meantime
