Issue on NTAG424 DNA after changed App Key

I am using NTAG 424 DNA to generate a dynamic link for my application. I was able to setup the NTAG using tagWriter and then I tried to change the default key.

After writing my NTAG424 DNA using TagXplorer

I am not able to authenticate on NTAG Operations. The error is 91Ae.

I am not able to change any file settings. I tried to format NDEF but nothing change.

How can I recover this condition? What is the meaning of this error?

On some other cards the error reported when I try to change something is 6982. How can I recover this situation?

Thanks for your reply, it took some time to have RFIDDiscover and PEGODA reader with me, so i'll come back with my issues.

Using TagWriter I'am able to generate my custom url like: http://192.168.188.114:5001/tag?d=8E0E3AC739085145627F53C2A0437603&f=87189BA4E0E9F8E5E1304F08A0F8780...

I am using sdm-backend code to test and verify the encoding. https://github.com/nfc-developer/sdm-backend

Everything is fine if mantain the Master Key with all zeros, if I change it on the server and accordingly I change the values used on the Card, the decoding doesn't work anymore.

So my need is to have a server that is able to decode properly the url extracting the UID, counter and filedata using a custom key.

What do you suggest to have it? is the sdm server used aligned with the NTAG424 implementation? Is it better to use something else or I need to configure properly the keys on the tag to have the proper decoding?

I tried to use RFIDDiscover, but onestly is much more complex than tagXplorer, or TagWrite. Is any manual available that describe all the steps needed to configure a NTAG424DNA with the example reported in the Appnote AN12196. It would be very helpful for beginner users.

I have an issue with the autenthication in attach some logs.

Please, consider that TagXplorer is no longer supported and information about it was kept for historical reference only. We recommend using our TapLinx SDK as well as RFIDDiscover and TagWriter iOS | Android. Also. I will recommend you using PEGODA Contactless Smart Card Reader together with RFIDDiscover. Something important to remark is that RFIDDiscover is secured under NDA and must be requested through the Secure Resources.

I am not able to see the full picture you shared, but 91AE should indicate that authentication status does not allow the requested command. For more information on the personalization procedure, please refer to NTAG 424 DNA and NTAG 424 DNA TagTamper features and hints. Chapter 5 describes some optional steps as an example for the personalization.
