NOR Flash Sector Protection Error

Hello,

I encounter with a problem while trying to burn the RCW to the NOR flash via CodeWarrior TAP.

Here is the console output:

Beginning Operation ...
-------------------------
Performing target initialization ...
Downloading Flash Device Driver ...
Reading flash ID ...
Erasing Sector 0xE8000000 to 0xE801FFFF

Executing program with verify ....
Error: Program with Verify failed. Flash driver reports the following error(s): Sector Protection Error
Error: Program with Verify failed. Flash driver reports the following error(s): Sector Protection Error

See the result when Dump Flash operation is executed with dump region offset of 0xE8000000:

FlashDump.PNG

What could be the reason that is not covered?

Thanks

Please execute unprotection operation before doing flash programming.

Which processor are you using? Are you bringing up a custom board?

Do you use CodeWarrior 10.5.1?

Do you use NOR Flash exist in CodeWarrior device list?

Would you please provide the whole console log?

Would you please provide CodeWarrior initialization file for your target board?

I have tried uprotecting before erasing and yet there is no change.

- It's a custom T1042 board.

- No, it's 10.5.2

- Yes, see the capture in attachment.

- Console logs and init file exist in the attachment.

I didn't find problem in CodeWarrior operation and CW initialization file.

Would you please confirm whether you also use JS28F00AM29EWL as IFC NOR flash on your custom board, just like T1042RDB?

Please check the IFC hardware design, please refer to "5.3 Integrated flash controller (IFC)" in attached application note.

You also could create a internal case to review you hardware design.
