We have on old CodeWarrior installation (node locked license) on a machine
reaching its end of life. What would be the correct procedure to move the
license to a new machine?

A renewal action will assign a new date to your entitlement, and then you could generate a new license, take a look at these 2 videos. The actions needs to be done by the product owner or who register this in the web.
