Hello,

Could you please assist with the usage of the MFEV730?

I am using the RFID Discover 5.4 version, Windows 10 64b. I've tried to update the reader driver, but Windows says it is using already the best driver. Once I connect to the PC, and try to "get available readers" on RFID Discover, none option is shown besides the Simulate IP. I have tried with a card on the reader(so the Comm light is on) and also without it.

Should I update the firmware? I see the file, but could not find information on the Datasheet on how to do the bootload. Also I do not see a USB driver available to install.

Hello @vitorciola

For your issue, it's recommended that you check the user guide UG10039 CLRD730 Quick start guide (nxp.com), I think that there would be the answer to your questions.

If still have any questions, please let me know and feel free to contact us.

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for the reply.

I did follow the instructions on the Quick Start guide, but I could not advance from the section 3.2 Getting available readers .The reader is not listed:

I tried different situations, with and without card on top; different versions of the RFID Discover; But with no success.
Also I did test the RFID Discover 5.4 with the previous reader(CLRD710) and that works fine, so the issue is with the new reader.

Could you please assist me making it work? Let me know if there is a need for firmware or driver update.

Regards,

Vitor

Hello @vitorciola

Yes, V5.4 is a little different from V5.0. In your case, the Pegoda reader was not found, so you will need to follow the instructions in Section 3.3 of UG10039 and then see the device as below, which should work properly.

Hi there,

I am having the same issue here, I am trying to work with pegoda CLRD730 reader, windows 10 64 bits RFID DiscoverLite v4.6.0.0 which is the newest version I could find.

Following document UG10039 3.3, I get a different PCSC Reader window and cannot follow the start guide.

Is there an alternative for the version I am using ?

Thanks! The reader could be connected after the instructions on 3.3, however none further commands can be executed on the card:

Is there any additional step missing?

Hello @vitorciola

Sorry, I made a mistake, and the late reply.

If only Reset is available, the device is still in PS/SC mode, so at this time, you need to perform the operations in section 3.4 of CLRD730 Quick start guide (nxp.com.cn) , switch to VCOM mode, and then you can see the following interface.

Hello @vitorciola

Yes, Pegoda is like that. This is already available. I have tested Authentication of MIFARE DEFIRE EV3 here and everything is fine. But there is a suggestion for you, first place the card on Pegoda and then start RFID Discover.
