Setting MMA8652 Output Data Rate to 64Hz

Hi, I purchased mma8652 daughter kit from NXP. While going through datasheet I followed that Output Data Rates that can be set during configuration are 1.56Hz,6.25Hz,12.5Hz,50Hz,100Hz etc.

My requirement is that I need ODR of 64Hz.How this can be achieved if possible.

Waiting for Your Reply.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for writing.

I am afraid that is not possible to achieve 64 Hz as ODR.

Please review the Table 96 below from the datasheet in order to get more detailed information.

My apologies for any inconvenience this situation might cause.

David

Hello David,

Is the ODR and sampling rate for MMA8652 is same or any decimation is present.

Please confirm this.

Hello,

Do you mean the oversampling mode?

If that is the case, there are four different oversampling options that allow for the optimum resolution vs. current consumption trade-off to be made for a given application.

The MODS[1:0] from the CTRL_REG2 bits select which Oversampling mode is to be used, as shown at the tables below:

Please let me know if this information is useful for you.
