NXP MPXV5050 Vacuum sensor support

Hi, 

I would like to use the NXP MPXV5050GC6U to measure the vacuum level inside a box, where the levels can be in between 30milibar to 400milibar.

Is this the correct part to use, or there is another recommended part ?

Hi Kobi,

The MPXV5050GC6U is a positive gauge pressure sensor, so it measures the positive pressure (up to 50 kPa) relative to the ambient pressure on the P2 side.

For your application I would recommend either absolute or negative gauge pressure sensors.

The minimum rated pressure of NXP absolute pressure sensors is typically 15 kPa, so they will not respond in the range of 30 mbar to 150 mbar.

The only NXP device I can recommend is the MPXV6115VC6U which is a negative gauge pressure sensor designed to measure „vacuum“ from 0 kPa down to -115 kPa:
