MMA845x safety features

Hi.

I am using the MMA8453 in some of company projects.

We need to apply for ISO 13849-1, so, in datasheet I don't find safety features, could you tell me if this accelerometer have safety features. If not, I really appreciate if you can recommend some other part numbers.

I know we can use redundancy but if we can use only one accelereometer to comply with the ISO 13849-1 we want to evaluate that option.

Hi Asael,

The MMA8453 does not have any safety features.

They are more common in our automotive motion sensors such as the FXLS9xxx family of single and dual channel accelerometers.

1. the MTTF of the NXP MMA8652FCR1

2. and the Diagnostic Coverage value of MMA8453QR1 and MMA8652FCR1
