MMA8451Q interrupt read mode

Hello.

I configured the MMA8451Q with ODR = 800Hz, so I can read the acceleration's components with a 1,25 ms  sample period.

The  polling mode is ok, I can do a read with  800Hz sample frequency.

But I can do it in "interrupt mode" (I configured MMA8551 as described in AN4076) because I see the interrupt pulse every 24 ms (about 40 Hz).

Why?

Please note that in the project, the interrupt mode is used.
