In my application there is a small tank and we are pumping air into that through 4mm pipe.we want to generate a signal if the air flow is low .General pressure we are pumping is 100Kpa.

Please suggest suitable sensor for this application

Dear Sir,

I have made an arrangemnt so that i can use MPX5100DP,

Can we keep one hole of this sensor open in enclosure or we need to open to out of enclosure ?

and can we mount this senor in any angle and direction or do we have any specific ?

Jagadeshwar,

The MPX5100DP uses a single piezoresistive element ion implanted on an etched silicon diaphragm to sense the stress induced on the diaphragm, there is no flow through the diaphragm. Orifice plates, venturis or something like that need to be used to measure air flow using MPX5100DP.

Tomas

Hi Jagadeshwar,

Thanks for your interest in our pressure sensors.

I would recommend using our MPX5100 series of integrated analog pressure sensors with temperature compensation, calibration and amplifier circuitry on–chip. The output voltage for full rated pressure is typically 4.7V. As you can see in the datasheet, there are several package options available to best fit your application.

Best regards,

Tomas
