Hi everyone,
I've been reading some SE050 documentation and came across the presentation "EdgeLock™ SE050: NXP’s new generation Plug & Trust solution to secure IoT Edge" by Matthias Michael VIERTLER (link). I saw in this document that SE050 can be used with Android and integrated with Android Keymaster. Below are some images that show what I’m referring to.
In this vein, I have two questions regarding SE050 and Android integration:
How can I effectively integrate SE050 with Android to store cryptographic keys and execute cryptographic operations inside the secure element? I already saw some getting-started guides on using SE050 with Raspberry Pi and some MCUs, but I couldn't find anything specifically related to Android. Are there any resources or examples for integrating SE050 with Android?
Considering Android StrongBox (link), which is a Keymaster implementation residing in a hardware security module, does this mean that SE050 is StrongBox compliant?
Any guidance, documentation references, or experiences from the community would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Hi @joaopeixoto13 ,
You may find the android building guide in simw-top/doc/dev-platforms/platform_android.html , but as far as I know, they are not updated, so you might need to adapt the steps in some cases.
Have a great day,
Kan
