In the safety manual for S32G, SMs are categorized as SM1, SM2, SM3, and SM4.
What is the exact categorization?

Also, is there any documentation I can refer to?

Thanks.

Hello,

SM1 Hardware safety mechanism within the chip, implemented by NXP
SM2 Software safety mechanism specified for the chip, implemented by NXP
SM3 Off-chip hardware safety mechanism, to be implemented by the
system developer

SM4 Software safety mechanism, to be implemented by the system developer

For more information on the safety mechanisms please refer the device's safety manual.

Thanks!

Thanks for answering this. I really needed this. I am working with S32G2 safety manual. However, I couldn't find any information about SM1~SM4 categorization.
